My excellent pipe music and authentic formal Highland attire help make your event memorable for a lifetime. Let your memories echo with the soul-stirring sounds of the Great Highland Bagpipe.
50 years’ experience. Numerous awards in solo competition, as well as with some of the best pipe bands in North America. Studied for years with many of the greatest pipers of the 20th century. Holder of the Institute of Piping’s Performance Certification awarded by the National Piping Centre of Glasgow, Scotland.
Guaranteed to be professional, prompt, punctual, absolutely in-tune; an all-around excellent musical experience. Skillfully integrating bagpipe music into wedding ceremonies, memorial services, concerts, and just about any setting imaginable.
Three different pitch varieties: standard, concert B-flat (466) and concert A (440). This allows me to offer accompaniment of virtually any other kind of instrument, which is very rare among highland pipers.
Past engagements include The Chieftains’ USA Tour, the Consecration of the Site of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald aboard the USCGC Mackinaw, technical consulting for Scottish music with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, performances with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the West Shore Symphony Orchestra of Muskegon, and hundreds of weddings and memorial services.
My most frequent type of engagements are destination weddings on Mackinac Island, and in the Petoskey, Charlevoix, Leelanau Peninsula, and Traverse City areas.
High level of skill, experience and quality consistent with international piping standards. Hundreds of tunes of every kind: not only Scottish, but also Irish and other Celtic. If you want a tune I don't already know I will learn it for your event, if it is possible to play it on the pipes.
